PillRem is a calm, privacy-first medication reminder app for iPhone, designed for the 50% of people with chronic conditions who miss doses — not because they don't want to take their medication, but because remembering is hard when life gets loud.
The app helps individuals and caregivers manage medications with a warm, trustworthy design that it calls "Calm Apothecary" — ivory backgrounds, deep refined blue accents, and SF Pro Rounded typography throughout. Core features include smart customisable pill reminders, long-term adherence tracking with streaks and charts, health metric logging (blood pressure, blood sugar, and more), support for unlimited family profiles (including pets), and beautifully formatted one-tap PDF reports users can share directly with their healthcare team.
PillRem is built on a local-first architecture: medication data lives on the user's iPhone, protected by Apple's hardware-backed encryption. Cloud backup is optional and encrypted. The app contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics trackers, and no third-party data sharing beyond Apple's own frameworks and (optionally) Firebase Authentication for account-based backup. It is an independent, self-funded project built by a small team who wanted a medication app they would actually want to use themselves.
